Configurable RTP for Casino Games — What Operators Can Set
Learn how configurable RTP works on VFairGames — Dice, Limbo, and Mines at 90–99%, fixed Plinko and Keno paytables, and linked odds.

Configurable RTP lets an operator set the long-run return for a game without rewriting the product. On VFairGames, that control applies to Dice, Limbo, and Mines. Plinko and Keno use fixed paytables instead.
This guide is for casino operators and platform teams: what RTP means here, which games take a partner setting, the coded bounds, and how multipliers stay linked so every slider position keeps the same edge story.
What RTP means on VFairGames
RTP (return to player) is the configured long-run share of stakes paid back as wins, before partner caps like maxWin. It is not a promise that any short session will land on that percentage.
When RTP is configurable, VFairGames rebuilds payouts from a published formula so win chance and multiplier stay tied. Changing the target does not secretly improve the house edge.
Which games support partner RTP
| Games | Partner RTP |
|---|---|
| Dice, Limbo, Mines | Configurable |
| Plinko, Keno | Fixed paytables (not a partner RTP slider) |
Defaults for configurable games: 98%. Allowed range in product math and admin: 90%–99%.
Plinko and Keno keep fixed reference tables (theoretical expected return near ~99% depending on rows/risk or pick/risk). Admin rejects RTP updates for those titles.
How odds link to RTP
- Dice / Limbo —
multiplier ≈ (RTP × 100) / win chance %(and the inverse). Same long-run edge at every win-chance setting. See Dice and Limbo. - Mines — fair combinatorial odds × configured RTP. Mine count changes volatility and max theoretical multipliers; long-run edge still follows RTP when payouts are scaled. See Mines max win.
- Plinko / Keno — pick a risk (and rows / pick count); payouts come from the published table, not from a partner RTP field. See Plinko and Keno.
Fairness (HMAC-SHA256 commit–reveal) is separate from RTP. Verification proves the outcome mapping for the seeds — it does not prove that RTP is “generous.” Overview: What is provably fair?.
Why operators care
- Match brand risk appetite within a clear band (90–99%).
- Keep support simple: every Dice/Limbo target stays on one edge model.
- Ship Plinko/Keno with stable published tables when you do not want per-partner RTP edits.
- Demo before wallet go-live, then set RTP per partner game in admin.

FAQ
Can I set RTP on every VFairGames title?
No. Dice, Limbo, and Mines yes. Plinko and Keno use fixed paytables.
What is the default RTP?
98% for configurable games.
Does higher RTP change how verification works?
No. Seeds and HMAC mapping stay the same family. RTP feeds the payout / multiplier formulas (and Limbo’s crash mapping), not the commit–reveal story.
